Death of Pakistani journalist – was it the work of the ISI?

The BBC reports on the kidnap and murder of a 40 year old Pakistani journalist who had been at the forefront of exposing Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups penetration of the military.

It has been claimed that the journalist had been threatened by the ISI. However, the ISI are claiming that this is not the case. The authorities reported that the man had died as a result of his torture, probably a fatal blow to his chest, and then his body was dumped. This sounds more like the work of Al Qaeda, but in conjunction with a rogue within the ISI.

This is a developing story and when something else comes to light, I hope to make further posts.
