I have seen a false or rather an unverified report about Libyan “rebels” engaging with Algerian troops. To date the report has never been verified by any other source. As such I remain sceptical and continue to suspect that it was a piece of propaganda from the Libyan regime. (in fact I suspect that the particular source is a Libyan regime source that is there to spread misinformation about the “rebels”).
However, there are genuine reports regarding the breaching of border positions, but between Tunisia and Libya. The BBC reports that the Regime has been firing grad rockets across the border and into Tunisia. It is not the first time that there have been border clashes in this location. The last time the Tunisians fought back and captured some regime military (mercenaries?).
